With the 75th founding anniversary of Technical School Ruđer Bošković in Zagreb coming closer, the school is implementing a project to establish the infrastructure of the Ruđer Bošković Regional Competence Center through the “RCK Ruđer Bošković” project, financed from the Operational Program called Effective Human Potential (2014 – 2020). 

The school has produced numerous experts throughout its long history. In its future, the school wants to be recognized as an educational institution where students are provided with top quality practical classes and exercises in vocational education for every educational program in the priority sector of electrical engineering and computing. 

Project activities include the establishment of the Regional Center itself, which includes defining the strategy, analyzing the job market, strengthening the capacity of educational workers, establishing cooperation with other institutions for vocational education and similar centers, as well as establishing cooperation with universities and scientific institutions at the local, regional and international level.

The project includes the development of occupational standards and qualifications alongside the new vocational curriculum Mechatronics Technician at level 4.2 and new vocational curricula at level 5 of the HKO (Croatian Qualification Framework in the fields of industrial automation, building automation and energy). In addition, the project includes the creation of new and revision of old plans and programs for the training and development of adults, as well as the adaptation of all plans and programs for people with difficulties and disabilities. The training of teachers and mentors in companies, as well as the establishment of practical classes in companies, is a particularly important segment to which the purchase of specialized equipment is also connected. 

In addition to new technologies and equipment at the Center, which will monitor the relevance of the curriculum and their implementation, increased cooperation with employers and universities will provide students with better access to work-based learning. In this way, having acquired knowledge and skills in accordance with the times, they will be more ready to respond to the challenges of the job market and transfer new ideas to the industry. 

As a communication partner in the project, Mediahint will implement the planned promotion and visibility activities of the Center, as well as the project itself. The implementation of marketing and public relations activities will cover a wide range of tasks: from designing a visual identity, creating promotional materials, producing video materials and shooting TV spots, all the way to media leasing.   

The goal is to build and maintain an image, raise visibility and awareness of the topics and the project, and clearly and timely distribute key messages through various channels. In the same manner, the goal is to attract users of educational programs, to popularize professional occupations in the Center and in Croatia in general, and consequently to increase the interest of potential and future users of the Center in order to achieve financial self-sustainability.
